What ever Jaguar fan dreams of...

The Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Supercar has been floating around a lot in production form with no direction on when people like us (but with far more money) can own one, sadly. Even more sad because the Porsche 918 is already out and Jaguar is sitting on this. From the spec's I have seen, this has the potential to keep up with the 918.

I heard they built it originally for the James Bond film and odds are they do have plans to bring it to production but only at the right time.

It should happen when they can better position it to benefit the rest of the Jaguar line up.

James Bond film probably was a small incentive for them because it creates the perfect platform to advertise it especially when you consider how far they can take it which is right to production. Probably we see it when Jaguar has all its high volume models released and refreshed.

good point

it did have a hybrid powertrain and last I checked Jaguar wanted to go green to some extent
sad part is it will take the release of other green but affordable Jaguar's to release before the concept does
even worse than that is likely none of us here could afford it

Looking into what McLaren will be doing, which is launching a fully electric hypercar it has me thinking that Jaguar might do that instead just to stay relevant in the market. Unless the 2020's will stil need high performance hybrids, after all we're almost in the 2020's. What are you thoughts?

An electric supercar may not be too far from the future for Jaguar since they already have the I-Pace coming out and that thing is supposed to emphasize performance along with range.

I know for a fact that BMW has been developing a platform for creating a whole range of EV's so its very possible that JLR is planning for an entire range of EV's as well. Part of this has been the C-X75 supercar concept, it has electric motors

With all these electrics invading every car segment, it certainly is going to lead to some quiet races in the competitive racing industry aha. It's hard to ignore the insane acceleration and instant torque that electrics provide, and it seems ever since the ridiculous statistics out of the Telsa S, that everyone is looking to raise the bar.

They don't sound that bad, nothing like the older Formula 1 cars but as you can see from the Formula E racer below its good enough to leave most enthusiasts happy:
